One of my favorite sayings has always been “Fail to plan, plan to fail.” I believe this to be true. After having twins, my life become all about structure. There was a time and place for everything. It was the only way to survive being a mom of two babies at one time. Don’t worry, I have it all handled in stride now that they’re in High School. Thank you to my SIL (Sister in Law) for my favorite kitchen accessory, the Brother P-Touch label maker. Best. Gift. Ever.
To make life easier in the morning for my family, I prep their oat and protein shakes. As you can see in the pic above, I use little 8 ounce mason jars and my handy label maker to keep them organized. How cute is that?! The guys love it because it is so easy for them to grab a jar and toss it into a blender bottle with almond milk and a banana and blend together with the immersion blender for a great morning start.
For my husband, I use MaxPro Elite Protein by Max Muscle. This very lean 30 gram per scoop protein is a great blend of Whey Isolate, Whey Concentrate, and Casein for any time of the day. It is a little more expensive, but great for those looking to gain muscle and lose body fat. I love Max Muscle proteins because it is a 3rd party cGMP certified company. For my son looking for lean muscle gains, I have him on Carbo Max with Pure Whey at 23 grams of protein per scoop. Pure Whey is perfect for my teen athlete. The Pure Whey is also more budget friendly (high five moms and dads on a budget).
Here is a link for Max Muscle products. [Max Muscle Stone Mountain] If you call directly to the Stone Mountain store, Mike Pringle 678.344.1501, will give you free shipping if you spend $75 or more. I don’t know about you all, but I love a good shopping deal.
As for myself, who has to use a completely allergen friendly protein, I use Bone Broth Protein in my morning oats shake.
What I love about this morning meal prep, is that you get everything in you need in your cup. You will be winning like the rockstar you are with the long lasting energy from the oats, healthy fruits that bring you one step closer to meeting that daily fruits and veggies goal, and protein for building lean mass as well as fat loss.
